Freeland Cheerleaders Bring Home 15 Trophies; Misericordia Cheer & Dance Challenge

Some are already calling this the year of the under dog! We are calling it year of the Whippet.

All four Whippet cheer squads hit the mat for their last competition of the season. They did not disappoint as they brought home 15 trophies!


9u Squad members are, front row: Breanne Hopeck, Emma Casey, Azrael Malloy, Gianna Brush, Arianna Velenzuela, and Courtney Snyder. Back Row: Coach Ellie Rancont, Krystal Swayze, Coach Nicole Snyder, Angel Swayze, and Kyra Moskovitch.

The Whippet 7u Cheerleaders (ages 5-7) brought home four trophies to start off the day competing out of the small divison.

Dance - Honorable Mention


Next to hit the mat in the small division were the Whippet 9u Cheerleaders (ages 8-9). They continued a strong showing by bringing home four trophies of their own.

The 11u Whippet Cheerleaders (ages 10-11) continued the trend and was awarded three trophies competing out of the small division.

Our last team to hit the mat were the 14u Cheerleaders (ages 12-14). They competed in the large division and placed in all four categories, capping off a phenomenal day for Freeland.

2019 showed it was once again a great year to be a Whippet. The Whippet Cheerleaders brought home a total of 29 trophies on the year, competing in three competitions!

13u - 10 trophies (1st comp - 3; 2nd comp 3; 3rd comp 4)

11u - 5 trophies (1st comp - 1; 2nd comp 1; 3rd comp 3)

9u - 7 trophies (1st comp - 1; 2nd comp 2; 3rd comp 4)

7u - 7 trophies (1st comp - 2; 2nd comp 1; 3rd comp 4)
