Changes for the 2019 cheerleading season are as follows:

- For example - If child turns 15 even the day before Misericordia, they cannot participate in that competition.
CASTS:
- Any participants wearing a cast, cam boot, or any type of medical apparatus (except sleeve support) shall not be involved in stunts, pyramids, tosses, jumps and tumbling. They may still cheer.
- EXCEPTIONS: Items of everyday medical necessity will be permitted as exceptions to this rule (i.e. insulin pumps, etc.)
COACHES & COMPETITION JUDGING:
- Any conference coach (including head coaches and assistant coaches - ALL AGE DIVISIONS) cannot be a judge for any non-conference competition where participating conference teams will be performing. THIS IS A CONFLICT OF INTEREST AND IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
- Consequences will be decided by the Conference President and a Conference Co-chair Director.
ATTENDANCE AT NON-CONFERENCE COMPETITIONS:
- Any WVJFC organization that attends cheer competitions outside the conference must abide by the following rules:
- Squads must adhere to the WVJFC rules and safety regulation guidelines - REGARDLESS OF COMPETITION RULES.
- Teams may always perform for skill, but are prohibited from performing skills that are not allowed within this conference.
- When attending competitions outside of the WVJFC, the Cheer Director is to be notified in writing or email as to where and when the competition is being held. If the attending organization has failed to comply with WVJFC guidelines, or any violation of, while in attendance of a non-conference competition, those organizations will be fined $200 and be suspended for the next conference competition.
- FOLLOWING SEASON VIOLATION: Violations will be implemented the following season if the infraction occurred at the last conference competition of the year. Violators will still be required to pay the conference performance fee for the competition.
DOUBLE (DUAL) ROSTERING:
- Teams are no longer allowed to double (dual) roster at all age groups 7U-14U. Child must stay on the roster for the team they are rostered to at the beginning of the year.
- For example - An 11 year old child is rostered to the 11U Cheer Squad. Your organizations 14U Squad had a few girls quit during the course of the season and numbers for that squad are light for the last competition. You cannot roster up the 11 year old to the 14U Squad for this competition.
